WHAT IS THE SURFIVAL LEAGUE?

The Surfival League is a Survivor League that follows the World Surfing League tour schedule.

WHAT ARE THE RULES?

Each event, pick only one (1) surfer to advance past the Round of 32 on the mens side and Round 16 on the womens side.
If your surfer loses in the first two elimination rounds (gets 33rd or 17th place on Men’s and 17th or 9th on Womens side), you are eliminated for the year. If your surfer advances, you advance.
You can not pick the same surfer twice.
The competition will continue until the last person is standing and they will win $7000 and three custom shaped Panda Surfboards on the Mens’ side and $1,000 and one custom PANDA surfboard on Women’s.

WHAT ARE THE RULES POST-CUT?

The same rules apply, but your surfer has to make it past the Round of 16 (quarter finals for Women’s).

WHEN DOES THE LEAGUE START?

The league follows the WSL event schedule. If they cancel the tour, we will rollover your funds to the next season or refund your entry fee. Your choice.

WHY DID WE START THE SURFIVAL LEAGUE?

We are “Making Round One Fun Again!”
We think Fantasy Surfing is the worst.
It’s the most fun you can have watching the WSL!

HOW DO I JOIN?

It’s simple. Pay the $25 membership fee, create an account and pick your surfer!

WHAT IF MY SURFER GETS INJURED/BIT BY A SHARK/GETS CORONA/PULLS OUT OF COMPETITION?

You can switch up your surfer up until the waiting period begins. After that, tough luck!

WHAT IF THERE IS A TIE?

There are no ties!

If everybody loses in any event, except WSL Finals, all people that were in that event move on.

If there are multiple people left at WSL Finals, we’re taking a page outta the WSL Fantasy Playbook.

Pick each match winner. You get points for each pick.

0 picks - 0 points

1 pick - 100 points

2 picks - 200 points

3 picks - 500 points

4 correct picks - 900 points

You also get 100 bonus points if you pick the underdog and they win.

The secondary tie breaker will be the final heat score total. If the final heat score is 17, and someone picked 16 and somebody else picked 18 (they technically tied with 1 point of difference), the person who did not go over would win (16).

In the event of a further tie, the cumulative points of your Surfival Picks will determine the winner.

HOW DO I MAKE MY PICKS?

You must log in to your Surfival Account. You then submit your surfer. It is your responsibility to make sure your pick is in before event starts. If you do not make your pick in time, you are OUT.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY PICK?

Just enter a new pick within your account.

CAN I ENTER MULTIPLE TIMES?

No! One entry per person.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW? Fine print, etc.

Yes, this is a skill based game that is supposed to be FUN. The admins will be final authority on all decisions affecting the contest with the goal being to keep it fair and fun for all.

The prize money is not determined by the amount of players. All extra prize money will be held for future games.

This is not gambling or betting, etc.

If the tour is cancelled, we will rollover your entry to the next season, or refund.

Only one entry per person. Duplicate entries will not be allowed to win and be deleted!

The Surfival Gods reserve the right to have members pick 2 surfers per event if necessary towards back half of year.

During the back half of the year, when the contest is narrowed, the Round you have to make it past might change.

If the winner who are not located in continental USA or Australia must pay for board shipping (or we can offer you $1000 in lieu of the boards). The boards must be PU and no crazy artwork.

Winner responsible for all local taxes and will receive tax documents after winning.

ARE THE SECOND CHANCE LEAGUE RULES THE SAME?

Yes! Just a lower prize ($1k cash and 1 PANDA Surfboard)
